Ms. Dinh Thi Quynh Van

Dinh Thi Quynh Van is the General Director and the senior partner in the Tax and Legal services practice of PwC Vietnam.

Quynh Van has provided taxation and legal advice to PwC’s clients since 1995. She has worked with many of the largest investors in Vietnam, assisting them in establishing and structuring operations, and complying with the tax and regulatory framework.

She has been involved in various consulting projects, especially in the fields of energy, telecom, financial services and banking. She has participated in negotiations with Governmental authorities in relation to a number of BOT projects, and led legal and tax due diligence reviews.

Quynh Van has been a guest speaker at conferences held in Vietnam and other countries such as the Netherlands, Denmark, Malaysia and Thailand. She often speaks about matters related to Vietnam’s tax system, investment and business environment, corporate governance and listing issues in foreign stock exchange markets.

She has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Henley Management College (UK) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Martin Luther University (Germany). She is a fellow member of VACPA and a member of CPA Australia.

Chad Ovel

Originally from the United States, Chad Ovel has over 24 years’ experience leading value growth in Vietnam.

Chad is a Partner at Mekong Capital, a Vietnam-focused Private Equity firm, specializing in consumer driven businesses. Established in 2001, Mekong Capital has the most extensive private equity track record in Vietnam having completed 35 private equity investments, of which 26 have been fully exited. Chad has led Mekong Capital’s successful investments in various sectors including pharmaceuticals, real estate, logistics, casual dining and retail.

As Chairman of Amcham Vietnam-HCMC since June 2020, Chad takes a strong stand for AmCham’s mission to promote trade and investment between Vietnam and the US.

Chad holds an MBA from University of Chicago.

Mr. Do Huy Binh

Mr. Do Huy Binh (Kurt Binh) is the founder and CEO of Smartlog supply chain solutions corporation.

He has more than 18 years of experience in managing, executing, developing strategy and consulting for large companies in the supply chain and logistics industry,

Over the past five years, he has led Smartlog from a Vietnamese startup to a leading company providing comprehensive logistics platform and solutions in Vietnam with hundreds of large and reputable customers in Vietnam and tens of thousands of transactions on the network of nearly 15,000 trucks with hundreds of large warehouses.

He also served as the founder and editor of Supply Chain Insight, the first professional magazine in supply chain management and logistics in Vietnam.

Mr. Kurt Binh holds a Master Degree in Supply Chain Management - Malaysian Supply Chain Innovation Institute and Global Supply Chain (SCALE) program from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT, USA). Before that, Mr. Kurt Binh graduated from Foreign Trade University, where he won awards for economic science researches.

Glenn Hughes
Head of Vietnam

Joined LOGOS in early 2020 to drive the establishment and growth of the LOGOS Platform in Vietnam.

Over 28 years of experience spanning executive roles, project development management and subject-matter expert advisory for international development programs and property/infrastructure investments, working for both private sector and government organizations in South East Asia, Australia and the Middle East.

Led the establishment/growth of the international development, capital project/infrastructure and real estate advisory practice for PwC Vietnam (2015-2019).

Prior strong track record in property development and investment, including logistics asset development and portfolio transactions.

Mr. Tran Thanh Hai
Deputy Director-General, Agency of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Mr. Tran Thanh Hai was involved deeply in the economic integration process of Viet Nam. Being an activist in information technology, e-commerce and logistic, he had experienced in different positions in the Ministry of Industry and Trade since 1996.

Mr. Tran Thanh Hai is the author of a series of books on economic integration, many of which were reprinted, such as Dictionary on ASEAN, a series of Questions and Answers on ASEAN Economic Cooperation and WTO. He also wrote a lot of articles on economic integration, information technology, public policy and logistics.

Currently, he is a strong advocate for logistics service development in Viet Nam as well as contributes time and effort to raise awareness through training logistics. He leads a group of specialists for Viet Nam Logistics Report published annually. He is also the chief architect of the National Action Plan on Logistics Service Development of Viet Nam that was approved by the Prime Minister in the Decision 200/QĐ-TTg at 14 February 2017.

Mr. Vo Quan Huy

Starting as a farmer, experiencing nearly 50 years in agriculture, starting a business at the age of 18 with sugarcane, so far, he has changed 25 times livestock and crops for the company to survive and develop. Currently, he is cultivating nearly 1,000 hectares of agricultural land. The company’s main production including livestock (cows and shrimp) and fruits (bananas, grapefruit and durian). The company has succeeded in exporting bananas to the markets of Japan, Korea, China, Malaysia. (with the brand name of FOHLA (Fruit of Huy Long An)

Under his brand name, he is expanding a chain link program to plant banana for export.

This is a new model attracting more and more farmers to participate.

He was honored as an outstanding Vietnamese farmer and was nicknamed "King of bananas”.

Mr. Le Duy Hiep

Mr. Le Duy Hiep is the Chairman of the Vietnam Logistics Business Association (VLA), also the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors cum General Director of Transimex., JSC.

Mr. Le Duy Hiep has been working in the transportation, logistics sector since the 90s. Currently, he is the member of Board of Directors in many transportation companies in Vietnam. Under his direction and management, Transimex has rosen to become a big company with a domestic transportation system, airway and seaway shipping with modern infrastructure, and professional services. Transimex is on the way to become the leading logistics provider in Vietnam.

Over 30 years of experiences in this sector makes him a pioneer to lead and advise a variety of logistics companies in Vietnam. He contributes to significant changes on improving the business environment and business community.

He holds a bachelor degree of Economic from University of Economics, HCMC.

Mr Nguyen Song Ha
Assistant FAO Representative (Programme)

Mr Nguyen Song Ha has joined FAO as the Assistant FAO Representative (Programme) since February 2014.

Prior to joining FAO, he worked as a development specialist for various organizations of United Nations (UN), Network of Aquaculture Centres in Asia Pacific (NACA), European Union (EU), Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC), the World Bank (WB), and others.

He obtained LLB degree (1999) from Hanoi Law University and then LLM (2010) from Vietnam National University.
